Dedicated to helping you boost your music career

Hey mate, you all good?

More good stuff for you here this week, and as always, your free plugin is at the end of the email.

Let’s go…

Your weekly dose of motivation to keep the creative fire burning

In the music production game, it’s easy to feel like you’re falling behind. Seeing others drop tracks weekly, gain followers, sign deals. But real progress isn’t about how fast you’re moving... it’s about where you’re heading.

You could be hammering out tracks every day, but if you’re not aligned with your bigger goals, your sound, your brand, your audience… you’re just spinning your wheels. Every tweak, every mixdown, every YouTube tutorial binge should be taking you one step closer to your vision, not just keeping you busy.

So if things feel slow right now, don’t worry about it. Speed is important, but having a clear direction is much more powerful. A producer with purpose will always outlast one chasing hype.

Uncovering hidden gem websites, apps & hacks to give your music career a boost

So it’s becoming more and more obvious how much us producers, DJ’s and creatives are getting tired of the social media grind and the endless content and posting we feel we have to do to keep our names and tracks out there. It’s a lot to keep up with, and the more time we’re doing that, the less time (and energy) we have for the music.

If we have to do it, we might as well make it easier on ourselves.

I’ve been using Metricool for a bit. You can link all your social medias to it, add one post/reel/story/video in there, and post it to all of your platforms at once… and you can schedule all of your posts in a calendar so they post automatically.

The free plan is sound for 1 artist / brand. There is a paid one if you want more options, but the free plan is perfectly fine for most things.

Check it out here. Highly recommended to save you a lot of headache and give you back more time for the music!

Anarchy Fam Artist Spotlight: Rising Talent You Need to Hear

This week, the spotlight is on a mega talented producer from Birmingham that I only reconnected with yesterday after many years. After hearing his new productions, he had to take the Anarchy Fam Spotlight today.

Introducing, Darren Jones (aka Mercurial Virus / D10)

Darren has clearly been grafting over the last few years since we last spoke, now gaining regular support on his Trance productions from Armin Van Buuren, John O'Callaghan, Aly & Fila, Sean Tyas, Darren Porter, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Johan Gielen, to name a few.

His new track below (a collaboration with none other than Les Hemstock) is an uplifting Trance belter! Check it out below and drop him a follow.

The Underground: Fresh Music for Your Playlist

My Track of the Week this week is: Steve Mac & Pattern Perception - The Colours Of.

I’ve been hammering this one for a while now, so it’s great to see it getting a release this week on Jack Said What.

This is gonna be an absolute smasher of a track this summer! It’s already had over 20 BBC Introducing plays, tons of support on Radio 6 and spins from DJ’s all over.

Uber Producer Steve Mac has been dominating the electronic dance music world since the early 90’s, being responsible for countless classics over the years and working with some of the biggest names in the industry.

Steve teams up with Anarchy Fam favourite, Pattern Perception for this collab, creating nothing short of a sure fire House anthem! You need this on your stick! Don’t sleep on it. Great track!

Plugin of the Week: Tools to Up Your Game

This weeks Plugin of the Week is Melodyne 5 Essential by Celemony.

If you work a lot with vocals in your productions, then you have probably heard of Melodyne. It’s become the industry standard for natural pitch correction.

At the minute, they have their Melodyne 5 Essential version on sale for just £22. That’s the cheapest I’ve ever seen it, so if you don’t own a good pitch correction software already, now is a great time to grab this one while it’s so cheap.

Test it out for free on Plugin Boutique first and see if it’s a good fit for your workflow…
